Job summary

Rescuesaginaw is seeking a dedicated maintenance/janitorial professional in Michigan to perform facilities upkeep at CRM and GSRM locations. You will supervise daily cleaning, assist with grounds maintenance, and support volunteers and guests while upholding safety and quality standards.

The role requires a high school diploma, 18+ years, a valid Michigan driver's license, and the ability to work independently on assigned projects.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma.
• Must have previous experience in building maintenance / janitorial or educational equivalent including cleaning and maintenance products, painting techniques, and grounds maintenance.
• Must have valid Michigan driver’s license.
• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Ability to work independently on assigned projects.

Responsibilities

• Take time to witness of Christ’s redeeming love, His provision for sinners, and lead individuals toward His gift of eternal life.
• Assigned work responsibilities are to be performed at City Rescue Mission (CRM) and Good Samaritan Rescue (GSRM) as needed.
• Work with guests to ensure daily chores are completed and done well.
• Work with volunteers on time-consuming projects.
• Maintain appearance and supplies of janitor closets.
• Adhere to state building codes as they apply.
• Clean the GSRM facilities as directed by the Facility Manager.
• Maintain the ministry’s grounds to make sure that lawn is properly fertilized, watered, and mowed; flowers are planted and maintained, and driveway and sidewalks are properly shoveled and salted.
