Job summary

Metalcraft of Mayville Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, is seeking a Buildings & Grounds role to maintain the facility inside and outside appearance and ensure safety standards are followed. The position reports to the Maintenance Manager and involves coordination with Safety and Maintenance teams.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or GED, with preferred but not required prior grounds experience; forklift duties and general maintenance tasks are involved within a manufacturing setting in

Qualifications

• High school degree, diploma or a GED equivalent.
• Previous building and grounds experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the inside/outside appearance of the building and grounds. (Outside duties limited to minor snow cleanup, fenced yard organization, etc.)
• Safely operate a forklift to handle materials and complete work.
• Make routine decisions and use problem solving to resolve maintenance/safety issues.
• Use of general maintenance tools as needed to complete required tasks/repairs.
• Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards.
• Participate in equipment preventative maintenance.
• Lead 6S projects that include general safety/housekeeping tasks: setup/tear down of racking, painting identified walkways, organizing tools/work areas, etc.
• Other duties as assigned.
