Job summary

Promise Resource Network seeks a reliableFacilities team member to perform daily cleaning, basic repairs, and light maintenance. You will handle event setup, trash/recycling, and ensure the building remains safe and operational while supporting our nonprofit mission.

Ideal candidates have janitorial and handyperson experience, can use common tools, and maintain attention to detail. A valid NC driver's license and ability to lift up to 50 lbs are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Proven handyperson and janitorial experience.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
• Basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry knowledge is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Good physical condition; able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must have a valid NC Driver’s license or ability to operate the company vehicle.
• Proficient with MS Office or similar programs is a plus.
• Proficient with facility management software (MaintainX) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning of floors, restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
• Empty trash and recycling bins and restock supplies.
• Conduct minor repairs such as patching walls, fixing leaks, replacing light bulbs, and adjusting doors or furniture.
• Perform painting of walls, trim work and patch work as assigned/needed.
• Perform light to moderate yard work (i.e. mowing, trimming, debris collection, leaf blowing).
• Assist with setting up and breaking down furniture for events or meetings.
• Monitor and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards.
• Maintain cleaning and maintenance equipment and inventory.
• Respond to urgent cleaning or repair requests in a timely manner.
