Job summary

Promise Resource Network is seeking a part-time Facilities Specialist I in Charlotte, NC to perform cleaning, basic repairs, and light maintenance to keep the building safe and operational. Responsibilities include day-to-day cleaning, minor repairs, event setup, and reporting hazards.

Qualifications include high school diploma or equivalent, hands-on janitorial/handyman experience, tool safety, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. NC driver’s license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven handyperson and janitorial experience.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Good physical condition and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Valid NC Driver’s license or ability to operate the company vehicle.
• Proficient with MS Office or similar programs is a plus.
• Proficient with facility management software (MaintainX) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning of floors, restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
• Empty trash and recycling bins and restock supplies.
• Conduct minor repairs such as patching walls, fixing leaks, replacing light bulbs, and adjusting doors or furniture.
• Perform painting of walls, trim work and patch work as assigned/needed.
• Perform light to moderate yard work (i.e. mowing, trimming, debris collection, leaf blowing).
• Assist with setting up and breaking down furniture for events or meetings.
• Monitor and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards.
• Maintain cleaning and maintenance equipment and inventory.
• Respond to urgent cleaning or repair requests in a timely manner.

Facilities Specialist I

Part-time role. $17 – $21 per hour based on experience.

We are seeking a reliable and skilled person with janitorial, and handyman type skills to join our facilities team. This role combines general cleaning duties with basic building maintenance and repair tasks to ensure our building remains clean, safe, and fully operational as well.

• Perform daily cleaning of floors, restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
