Job summary

Harlow's Casino Resort and Spa in Greenville, MS, seeks a Facilities General Maintenance worker to support the facilities department under the direction of the Director, Manager or Supervisor.

You will perform maintenance tasks, repair or replace equipment with hand and power tools, follow OSHA and safety rules, and ensure buildings, roofs, windows, doors, and other structures are kept in good condition.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; prior facilities experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents and communicate with staff.
  • Ability to write and present information to management with clarity.

Responsibilities

  • Perform duties assigned by the facilities director, manager, or supervisor.
  • Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment as directed.
  • Repair or replace defective equipment using hand and power tools.
  • Use tools ranging from hammer, saws, drills, wrenches, etc., and inspection devices.
  • Follow OSHA regulations and safety policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB SUMMARY

Performs any work which is assigned by the Director, Manager or Supervisor of the facilities department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary for efficient operations of property.
  • Help to maintain all tools, vehicles and equipment as assigned by Director.
  • Completes all tasks as assigned.
  • Repairs or replaces defective equipment using hand and power tools.
  • Ability to use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers saws, drills, wrenches, or precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing device.
  • Repairs roofs, windows, doors, floors, woodwork, drywall and other parts of building structures.
  • Ability to follow OSHA regulations and other safety regulations as set by the Company.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Ability to read, analyze and interpret common documentation. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from team members, regulatory agencies or members of the staff. Ability to write and present information to management in a reasonable manner. Ability to perform normal mathematical computations in regards to the implementation of current duties. Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and deal with several variables.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in facilities preferred.

Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
