Job summary

Ogden City Government is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the Management Services department, Fleet & Facilities division. The role involves semi-skilled labor, equipment operation, safety compliance, and coordination with contractors to maintain city facilities.

Required are two years of maintenance experience and a high school diploma or equivalent, with the ability to work long shifts, including on-call periods, and to meet NIMS and TSA-related requirements if applicable.

Qualifications

• Two years of general maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or its equivalent.
• Any combination of experience and education that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Operate construction and maintenance equipment and power tools.
• Maintain hand tools and equipment; perform preventive maintenance.
• Coordinate maintenance with outside contractors and city departments.
• Perform snow removal and ice control duties.
• Respond to customer inquiries courteously and provide information.
• Document tasks in the Facilities work order system.
• Be available for rotating On Call schedule.
• Work up to 12 hours at a time.
