Job summary

Sysco is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee facility components and the equipment fleet where applicable. The role focuses on cost control while delivering effective maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability and employee safety.

The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse maintenance, fleet coordination, and regulatory compliance, with leadership responsibilities for a maintenance team. This is a full-time on-site role located in Jackson, MS.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma and 2+ years in warehouse equipment and refrigeration maintenance.
• 4-year degree in business management or related field is a plus.
• Fleet maintenance experience may substitute or complement education depending on background.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance of building and related facilities.
• Follow up on warranty issues and lease issues through distribution services and manufacturers.
• Coordinate building maintenance projects, upgrades, new construction, repairs, and security matters.
• Manage third-party contract maintenance providers for transportation, warehouse equipment, and building maintenance.
• Collaborate with Transportation and Warehouse Managers to meet departmental needs.
• Responsible for P&L budget including maintenance, parts, and renovations.
• Manage maintenance department personnel including hiring, training, and performance reviews.
• Ensure regulatory compliance for the distribution center.

Education

High school diploma + 2 years exp in warehouse equipment & refrigeration maintenance

4-year degree in business management or related field (plus)

High school diploma + 5 years related experience OR 4-year degree + 3 years fleet maintenance exp
