Job summary

LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is seeking a District Facilities and Supplies Coordinator in Montgomery, AL. You will oversee daily cleaning, maintenance, and upkeep of the hub facilities and grounds, and manage supplies ordering, receiving, and expensing. The role requires CDL eligibility, traveling within the district, and coordinating with vendors for fleet and building maintenance.

You will work with a supportive team in a mission-driven nonprofit serving hospitals across the region.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two years of facilities experience.
• Valid driver's license. Must also meet and maintain LifeSouth driver's eligibility requirements.
• Availability and willingness to travel to provide assistance and coverage to regions within the district, as needed.
• Have a CDL or be willing to obtain one after hire (through LifeSouth's internal CDL training program).
• Knowledge and experience with fleet/vehicle maintenance.
• Knowledge and experience with coordinating vendors for fleet repair, building maintenance, and general projects.
• Knowledge of building and grounds maintenance, including the daily and overall upkeep of assigned areas.
• Ability to use various floor care machines and other electronic equipment necessary to facilitate daily cleaning and maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Interact professionally with all customers, both external and internal.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to facilities staff to ensure all work is completed according to company standards and at the designated times
• Inspect company facility and grounds daily to ensure cleanliness and safety of all areas
• Make scheduled, periodic checks of facility ventilation and security systems, generators and other company equipment as recommended by manufacturer guidelines to ensure proper functionality; Report any suspected discrepancies to the immediate supervisor
• Coordinate and monitor vendor work at the facility ensuring all work is properly completed and appropriately billed
• Make repair and maintenance improvement recommendations to the District Director
