Job summary

APPA seeks an executive facilities leader to direct planning, construction, operation, and maintenance of College facilities across multiple campuses. You will oversee HVAC/central plant operations, manage contracts, and drive energy programs and risk management.

The role provides district-wide leadership for space utilization, maintenance, and capital planning. You will develop budgets, monitor expenditures, and coordinate with campus leadership to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 7+ years of relevant full-time experience, or Master’s Degree with 5+ years of relevant full-time experience.
• Experience in custodial, grounds, power plant, maintenance and construction services in higher education is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees District facilities construction, renovation and demolition in support of the Master Facilities Plan.
• Directs maintenance of all facilities and grounds; oversees interior/exterior repairs and inspections by outside contractors.
• Administers district-wide conservation and energy programs and monitors utility usage and costs.
• Plans and administers the budget for facilities, including operating and capital funds; monitors expenditures and forecasts needs.
• Directs operation and maintenance of power plant and equipment; coordinates technical efforts for facilities services.
• Plans space utilization and coordinates recommendations for efficient use and modification of College space.
• Ensures ADA compliance and environmental regulation adherence across District facilities.
• Leads communication with campus leadership and executives regarding priorities and project status.
