Job summary

The Operations Manager provides day-to-day management of building operations, facility readiness, maintenance coordination, event setup, and student staff for Charger Union facilities, supervising student event-setup staff to ensure readiness for scheduled events.

The role ensures spaces are clean, safe, and functional, coordinates with Facilities & Operations, AV, housekeeping, and campus partners, and escalates complex decisions to the Assistant Director as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of experience in facility operations or related field.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple operational priorities.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, faculty, staff, and external clients.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations and readiness of Charger Union facilities.
• Inspect facilities for safety, cleanliness, and maintenance needs.
• Coordinate repairs with Facilities & Operations and other departments.
• Supervise and train student event-setup staff; schedule and evaluate performance.
• Manage event setup, breakdown, and room configurations for campus events.
• Monitor safety and respond to emergencies in collaboration with Public Safety.
