Job summary

UTEP is seeking a Facilities Support staff member to perform manual labor for events and provide operational backup for Sun Bowl activities. You will search work orders, sort materials, and move items between the warehouse and departments.

You will drive vehicles to site locations, install event banners, and assist with setups and inventory. This on-site role requires a High School Diploma or GED, one year of related experience, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience: One year of related duties; may be required to operate light equipment.
• Note: Valid state-issued driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual labor tasks for special events and support Sun Bowl operations.
• Search work orders using a computer and institutional software systems.
• Sort and place materials on racks, shelves, or bins by size, type, color, or product code.
• Drive vehicles to move stored items from warehouse to departments or for surplus pickup.
• Transport crew and equipment to events by driving a truck.
• Install banners for convocations and ceremonies; assist with event setups.
• Assist with warehouse inventory and recycling program.
• Perform minor preventative maintenance on shop vehicles.
• Be available for on-call shifts and overtime as needed.
