Job summary

Docdort is seeking an Industrial and Building Maintenance Lead to oversee repair and upkeep of facility structures and production machinery. This hands-on, supervisory role manages maintenance personnel, directs PM programs, enforces safety protocols, and coordinates with external contractors to minimize downtime and ensure smooth facility operations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or vocational certification preferred.
  • 5+ years of hands-on maintenance experience.
  • 1-2 years in leadership or supervisory capacity.
  • Proficiency in PLCs, relay logic, motors, conveyors, hydraulics.
  • Knowledge of boilers, chillers, and building automation.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, train, and schedule maintenance personnel.
  • Develop, execute, and document PM programs for industrial machinery, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural systems.
  • Diagnose complex mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment failures; perform repairs.
  • Ensure OSHA compliance, building codes, and PPE/lockout-tagout procedures.
  • Oversee spare parts inventory and coordinate with external contractors for repairs.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, track repair costs, and monitor facility performance.
