Job summary

NBCUniversal is seeking an Engineering Supervisor to lead the Facilities Engineering team across central plants, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. You will supervise maintenance operations, coordinate with managers, and ensure safe, compliant facility performance for multiple sites in the Los Angeles area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• 7+ years of experience in building engineering or a related field.
• Working knowledge of Class A commercial building operations and fire/life safety testing requirements, including Los Angeles REG 4 where relevant.
• Demonstrated proficiency with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building automation systems (BAS).
• Knowledge of building codes, safety standards and energy efficiency practices.
• Valid state Class C Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Execute weekly workplans and maintenance work orders using CMMS and mobile platforms.
• Maintain records of maintenance activity, equipment performance, repair history and costs.
• Support central chiller plants and critical infrastructure with the Chief Engineer.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems to ensure safe operations.
• Coordinate with Facility Operations on preventive maintenance programs.
• Assist with annual LAFD REG4 testing.
• Monitor BAS to optimize energy use and system performance.
• Collaborate with ArcGIS and Critical Infrastructure System teams on projects.
• Drive EAM processes with Asset Management and ensure asset data accuracy.
• Develop and implement SOPs and KPIs with Facility Operations.
• Oversee vendors and 3rd party services and manage asset documentation in CMMS.
• Ensure compliance with AQMD, OSHA, ADA and other regs.
• Support emergency preparedness and drills.
• Attend bid walks and assist with project oversight.
• Support multiple sites and assign tasks within Los Angeles area.
• Maintain OSHA 30-hour certification.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
