Job summary

CBRE is seeking an FM Engineering Operations Manager in California to lead engineering operations across multiple facilities. You will supervise teams, drive performance, and optimize maintenance programs while managing budgets and building systems.

You will engage with tenants, clients and vendors to deliver best-in-class service and stay current with technology trends in facility management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; combination of experience and education will be considered.
• Experience in staffing, training, development, coaching, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance.
• Ability to communicate complex information and balance problems while setting expectations.
• Leadership skills to motivate the team to achieve operational targets.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Provide formal supervision to employees; monitor training and development; conduct evaluations and mentor staff.
• Coordinate and manage daily activities; set work schedules, assign tasks, cross-train staff; track deadlines.
• Manage operations and maintenance for assigned facilities; develop operating and capital budgets.
• Improve preventive maintenance programs; maintain maintenance and safety manuals.
• Be point of contact for contractors, tenant finish personnel and technicians.
• Oversee fire/life safety, plumbing, HVAC, electrical systems; stay current with tech trends.
• Maintain communication with high-profile tenants, clients, owners, facility management team and vendors.
