Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Chief Building Engineer Supervisor to lead a maintenance team responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing ongoing upkeep for a facility or portfolio. The role sits within Engineering and Technical Services and covers support, preventive maintenance, and repairs at a large manufacturing facility.

This role may require on-call duties, after-hours, weekends, and supervising staff while aligning with CBRE RISE values to drive facility performance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 5–8 years of related experience.
• Ability to meet physical requirements including lifting 50 lbs and standing/walking.
• Innovative mindset to develop methods beyond existing solutions.
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Track staff development, conduct performance evaluations, and provide coaching opportunities.
• Coordinate and manage daily team activities, set schedules, and assign tasks.
• Develop, implement, and communicate preventive maintenance programs and safety manuals.
• Ensure timely completion of work with high quality by providing proper information and materials.
• Develop cost estimates for work orders, maintenance activities, systems, and projects.
• Establish and maintain budgets for facilities maintenance.
• Respond to emergencies and seek help when needed.
• Share advanced knowledge to improve methods and mentor others.
• Lead by example and model CBRE RISE values to influence senior stakeholders.
• Contribute to achieving customer, operational, and service objectives across teams.
