Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Chief Building Engineer Supervisor to lead maintenance operations for a facility or portfolio. Responsibilities include supervising staff, budgeting, scheduling, and implementing preventive maintenance and safety programs.

The role emphasizes mentoring, cross-training, and improving cross-discipline collaboration while upholding CBRE RISE values. You may be required to work after hours and weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or trade school diploma with 5–8 years of related experience; supervisor experience preferred.
• Ability to lift/carry heavy loads (50 lbs) and perform physical duties.
• Strong organizational skills and proactive, solution-driven mindset.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff training, performance evaluations, and coaching opportunities.
• Coordinate daily team activities, schedule tasks, and track deadlines.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs and safety manuals.
• Ensure team has necessary information and materials to complete work on time.
• Develop cost estimates for work orders, PM activities, and projects.
• Manage facility maintenance budgets and respond to emergencies.
