Job summary

JLL is seeking a Lead Technician in Miami to oversee maintenance operations, mentor technicians, and ensure peak performance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems across a commercial facility. You will coordinate with vendors, perform inspections, and drive safety and efficiency daily.

The role combines hands-on technical work with team leadership responsibilities in a dynamic real estate environment, with a strong emphasis on preventive maintenance and compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3-7 years in facility maintenance or related technical roles.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems with troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience leading maintenance teams or supervising technical staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor maintenance technicians in daily operations and preventive maintenance.
• Monitor and troubleshoot building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, life safety).
• Conduct facility inspections and equipment assessments for safety and efficiency.
• Manage work orders in CMMS and keep records compliant.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for maintenance services and repairs.
• Provide technical guidance and training to junior technicians and staff.
• Respond to emergency maintenance situations adhering to safety procedures.
