Job summary

JLL in Miami, FL is seeking a Lead Technician focused on maintaining high performance of building systems and ensuring safety and reliability across facilities.

You will lead a team of technicians, schedule preventive maintenance, and coordinate with vendors to minimize downtime while delivering proactive repairs and improvements to optimize operations in a dynamic commercial environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3-7 years in facility maintenance or related roles.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Experience leading maintenance teams or supervising technical staff.
• Familiarity with CMMS and preventive maintenance program implementation.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor maintenance technicians daily.
• Monitor, troubleshoot building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and life safety systems.
• Conduct routine facility inspections and equipment assessments.
• Manage work orders through CMMS and maintain records.
• Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for maintenance services.
• Provide technical guidance and training to junior technicians.
• Respond to emergency maintenance situations per safety procedures.
