Job summary

Qorvo, Inc. is seeking a Facilities Mechanical Engineering Intern in Greensboro, NC. You will work on projects to improve safety, reliability, and energy efficiency of facilities systems, with exposure to cross-functional teams within Global Operations.

Qualifications include pursuing a BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering, 3.0+ GPA, and coursework in thermodynamics or fluid dynamics. Proficiency with SolidWorks/AutoCad and MS Office is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • At least one course in thermodynamics or fluid dynamics completed.
  • SolidWorks and AutoCad preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Identify/Execute projects to enhance facilities system safety, reliability, and energy efficiency.
  • Perform deep dives of critical facilities systems to identify optimization opportunities.
  • Troubleshoot system faults and resolve interruptions.
  • Update/Optimize the Facilities Tool Utility Matrix.
  • Update building and facilities equipment documentation (as-built drawings, SOPs, SOOs, P&IDs).
  • Support process equipment installation and cross-functional collaboration with fab engineering, EHS, and energy.
