Qorvo, Inc. is seeking a Facilities Mechanical Engineering Intern in Richardson, TX.

The role supports safety, reliability, and energy efficiency across facilities systems and documentation. You will collaborate with fab engineering and EHS on various projects and gain exposure to real-world engineering challenges.

Qualifications

• Pursuing BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering.
• GPA 3.0 or higher.
• Completed at least one course in thermodynamics or fluid dynamics.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Experience with SolidWorks and AutoCAD preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify projects to enhance facilities system safety, reliability and energy efficiency.
• Deep dive into critical facilities systems to optimize performance.
• Troubleshoot system faults and interruptions.
• Update/optimize the Facilities Tool Utility Matrix.
• Update drawings, SOPs, SOOs, P&IDs and equipment documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including fab engineering and EHS.

Qorvo’sFacilities Mechanical Engineering Internshipsare offered in our Global Operations business group. Specific projects and responsibilities will be determined based on the business needs at the time of the internship assignment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify/Execute projects toenhance facilities system safety, reliability, and energy efficiency.
• Perform deep dives of critical facilities systems to identify system optimization.
• Troubleshoot System Faults and Resolving Interruptions
• Update/Optimize the Facilities Tool Utility Matrix
• Update Building and Facilities Equipment documentation:
• As-built drawings
• Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Sequence of Operations (SOOs)
• System Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
• Capacity vs Demand Analysis
• Support process equipment installation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including fab engineering, EHS, and

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a BSor MSin Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum GPA of 3.0
• Must have completed at least one course in thermodynamics or fluid dynamics.
• Experience with SolidWorks and AutoCad preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organization skills and attention to detail

Competitive hourly pay commensurate with experience: $31/hr - $42/hr (subject to change dependent on physical location)

Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. Qorvo reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as external competitiveness and internal comparability.
