Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Must have completed at least one course in thermodynamics or fluid dynamics.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organization skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Identify/execute projects to enhance facilities system safety, reliability, and energy efficiency.
• Perform deep dives of critical facilities systems to identify optimization opportunities.
• Troubleshoot system faults and resolve interruptions.
• Update/optimize the Facilities Tool Utility Matrix.
• Update building and facilities equipment documentation (as-built drawings, SOPs, SOOs, P&IDs).
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans and capacity analyses.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including fab engineering, EHS, and energy.

Skyworks' Facilities Mechanical Engineering Internships are offered in our Technology & Manufacturing (TMG) business group. Specific projects and responsibilities will be determined based on the business needs at the time of the internship assignment.

Responsibilities

Required Experience and Skills

• Currently pursuing a BSor MSin Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum GPA of 3.0
• Must have completed at least one course in thermodynamics or fluid dynamics.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organization skills and attention to detail

Desired Experience and Skills

• Experience with SolidWorks and AutoCad preferred

The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $29.00 - $49.00 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $23.00 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
