Job summary

LightForce Orthodontics is hiring a Facilities Engineer to oversee the building’s physical infrastructure, mechanical systems, and utility networks. You will balance hands‑on troubleshooting with technical design work, reporting to the Maintenance Manager.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering and 7+ years in building engineering or facilities management, plus experience with MEP systems, CAD drawings, and safety/regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• 7+ years of hands‑on building engineering or facilities management experience.
• Experience reading blueprints/CAD and managing MEP systems.
• Knowledge of safety, OSHA and environmental regulations.
• Strong cross‑functional collaboration with EHS, Operations, and IT.

Responsibilities

• System Maintenance: Oversee and schedule routine upkeep for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and exhaust systems.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure facility operations follow local codes, OSHA guidelines, and environmental regulations.
• Project Management: Design and manage facility upgrades, layouts, renovations, and capital budgets.
• Vendor Oversight: Hire, manage, and coordinate outside contractors and service providers.
• Energy Efficiency: Implement sustainability programs and monitor utility consumption to lower costs.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose infrastructure failures and perform RCA to prevent downtime.
