Job summary

Archaea Energy, a bp company, seeks a Facilities Engineer to support existing power plants. You will analyze production and maintenance data, collaborate with operations and contractors, and help optimize performance while ensuring safety and environmental compliance.

The role covers designing modifications, developing procedures, and guiding project start-ups, with domestic travel required. A mechanical engineering degree and 3+ years in similar roles are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in relevant engineering roles.
• Knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid flow, heat transfer and mechanical design.
• Experience with ASME, NFPA, API standards.
• Experience with ISA symbols and PFDs/P&IDs.
• Willing to travel domestically and work on site.

Responsibilities

• Support continuing improvement of power generating systems including retrofits.
• Create design basis for piping, pumps, valves, compressors and heat exchangers.
• Review submittals from third parties and ensure safe, reliable designs.
• Develop operating, maintenance, commissioning, and start-up procedures.
• Facilitate improvement projects through start-up and commissioning.
• Maintain site drawings and documents with proper control processes.
• Provide technical support for operations and maintenance personnel.
