Job summary

SMC Ltd. is seeking a facilities engineer to plan, implement, and maintain building infrastructure and equipment. You will analyze processes, energy use, and safety, and lead projects to optimize performance and reduce costs.

The role requires strong problem solving, team leadership, and hands-on technical skills across electrical, mechanical, and ongoing maintenance disciplines. Ideal candidates have a technical degree or comparable experience, familiarity with ISO and medical device

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or three years of industrial facility maintenance experience.
• Proficient in computer usage and basic drafting.
• Adherence to safety regulations and clean work areas.
• Independent, proactive and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Mechanical, electrical and troubleshooting aptitude.
• ISO experience and medical device industry familiarity.
• Ability to lead and train others.
• Strong multi-tasking, organization and prioritization.
• Hands-on troubleshooting with problem-solving focus.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Compliance with regulations, codes and safety standards.
• Ability to work effectively when solo.
• Proficient in Windows environments.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and maintain facility infrastructure and equipment.
• Analyze processes, resource use, energy and safety; recommend improvements.
• Lead or participate in multi-discipline projects while controlling cost and schedule.
• Develop and update facility drawings and documentation for plant development.
• Coordinate with contractors on new technologies for facilities.
• Maintain preventive maintenance programs via ERP systems.
• Specify and order replacement components for repairs and restocking.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Mentor and train others; communicate effectively with management and vendors.
• Operate in varied environments with exposure to noise, dust and chemicals.
