Job summary

Ascend Talent Solutions client, a Class A office property in Boca Raton, FL, is seeking a Building Engineer to support daily facilities operations on a 8 AM–5 PM shift.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, general repairs, energy management, and ensuring safe, professional building appearance. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of CRE/retail maintenance experience and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-year related work experience in commercial real estate/retail property maintenance
• General facilities maintenance and repair work including basic plumbing, electrical, and flooring work
• Knowledge of and the ability to perform basic scheduled commercial property maintenance and use of various types of hand tools, machinery, etc.
• Knowledge of applicable safety rules and regulations

Responsibilities

• Maintain grounds and building systems to ensure operation within design capabilities and environmental conditions
• Perform preventive maintenance as prescribed by manufacturer recommendations and specifications
• Maintain professional appearance of grounds, building systems, and engineering spaces
• Open, assign, update and close electronic work orders; manage preventive maintenance schedules
• Maintain an energy management program to minimize operating costs
