Job summary

Facade Today in West Palm Beach, FL is seeking a Building Engineer for a Class A office property. The role focuses on maintaining physical appearance and performing general maintenance across electrical, plumbing, flooring, painting, carpentry, HVAC, and parking areas during a daytime shift (8AM–5PM).

You will manage preventive maintenance, update work orders, monitor energy use, and coordinate with property management to ensure safety and comfort for tenants.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of related work experience in commercial real estate/retail property maintenance.
• Working knowledge of general facilities maintenance including basic plumbing, electrical, and flooring.
• Ability to use common hand tools and small power tools safely.

Responsibilities

• Maintain building systems and grounds to ensure proper operation and environmental conditions.
• Perform preventive maintenance as prescribed by manufacturers and schedules.
• Open, assign, update and close electronic work orders and generate reports.
• Support energy management to minimize operating costs.
• Assist with lighting maintenance and other building maintenance tasks as required.
