Job summary

Salas O’Brien is seeking a facilities engineer to lead operations and maintenance planning, CMMS updates, and cost estimation for diverse building projects. The role is based in Raleigh, NC, with limited travel to US sites. A BS in Engineering/Management (ABET-accredited) plus 2–5 years of experience in facility operations is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Management or Engineering (or related) ABET-accredited program.
• 2-5 years of professional experience in facility operations and maintenance.
• Proficient in CMMS software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
• Effective interpersonal and strong written/verbal communication.
• Self-directed with problem-solving mindset.
• Preferred: FE Certification; ability to obtain PE within two years.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a multi-discipline engineering team to produce reports and specification documents.
• Manage field operations in unconditioned mechanical and electrical spaces.
• Review as-built documents and develop cost estimates for repairs/replacements.
• Conduct site visits to assess conditions and update designs or construction documents.
• Perform facility condition assessments and capital asset planning.
• Detail cost analyses and material take-offs for various building types across the US.
• Coordinate and manage teams performing onsite facility condition assessments.
