Job summary

Endeavor Real Estate Group is seeking a skilled Building Engineer to maintain and operate the mechanical, electrical, and safety systems across its properties in Austin, TX. You will lead preventative maintenance, oversee technicians, and ensure reliable building performance for tenants and owners.

Responsibilities span HVac, electrical, plumbing, and life-safety work, with emphasis on safety compliance, vendor management, and timely response to emergencies; a strong focus on efficiency and code

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5–7 years building engineering or closely related field with some project supervision experience.
• CFC Universal License or license within 90 days of employment.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Familiarity with work order systems (Angus preferred) and Paycom.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong customer service and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain familiarity with HVAC systems including chillers, pumps, cooling towers, VFDs, and air handlers.
• Perform or oversee preventative maintenance and oversee others performing PMs.
• Oversee water treatment PMs and testing.
• Troubleshoot equipment and identify upgrades or major repairs.
• Monitor building automation system and adjust temperatures, schedules, and pressures.
• Manage energy consumption and support LEED/Energy Star goals.
• Read and understand electrical diagrams and perform basic repair tasks.
• Coordinate with vendors for major electrical, plumbing, and life-safety work.
• Perform regular interior and exterior building inspections and maintenance tasks.
