Northwestern Medicine seeks a Facilities Engineer II for the MOB, full-time days, supporting multiple medical office buildings across the northern suburban Chicago area from Gurnee to Grayslake. The role includes operating high‑pressure boilers, chillers, and medical air systems with a Monday–Friday schedule (6:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m.) and on‑call rotation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• HVAC/R trade school certification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains power plant equipment with minor supervision.
• Monitors engineering systems and responds to emergencies as needed.
• Performs preventive maintenance and safety checks on plant equipment.
• Assists in repairs, maintenance, and construction with contractors/vendors.
