Northwestern Medicine Catherine Gratz Griffin Lake Forest Hospital is looking for a part-time Facilities Engineer II to operate and maintain building mechanical systems such as high-pressure boilers and chillers. This role requires specific technical training and licensure.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-3 years relevant building maintenance experience.
• Technical training in maintenance field; HVAC/R trade school certification or equivalent.
• Licensed as a Stationary Engineer OR ability to obtain within 1 year of hire.
• Valid driver's license (must provide Driving Abstract).

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains power plant equipment with minor supervision.
• Conducts safety checks and performs preventive maintenance on assigned equipment.
• Responds to plant emergencies and service requests.
• Monitors and assesses systems, performing troubleshooting as needed.
