Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-3 years relevant building maintenance experience.
• Technical training in maintenance field; HVAC/R trade school certification or equivalent.
• Licensed as a Stationary Engineer OR the ability to obtain within 1 year of hire.
• Valid driver's license (Driving Abstract).

Responsibilities

• Operates and assists in maintaining and repairing all power plant equipment with minor supervision.
• Operates high pressure boilers and related equipment including chillers, cooling towers, domestic hot water heating, generators, electrical switchgear, and energy management systems.
• Performs safety checks on plant equipment and conducts preventive maintenance.
• Cleans and paints equipment, piping, and related accessories in power plant and mechanical rooms.
• Performs chemical analyses of boiler, chiller, cooling tower and closed loop systems and manages chemical balances.
• Responds to plant emergencies and service requests, documenting actions taken.
• Performs scheduled maintenance and inspections per organizational and regulatory standards.
• Assists contractors/vendors with repairs, maintenance, and construction when needed.
