Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years in commercial HVAC or related experience.
• Able to interact with employees, visitors, and contractors with poise.
• Understand company and property policies and procedures.
• Complete Hines Engineering Training program phase for Building Engineer.
• Proficient in two or more categories of Engineering Assessment Guidelines and able to train in these areas.
• Proficient computer skills for engineering programs.
• Read and understand equipment manuals and instructions.
• Read and use testing equipment and measurement devices.
• Handle basic hand tools and power tools.
• Possess understanding of safety equipment usage.
• Perform mathematical computations for building operations.
• Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
• Maintain calm in emergencies.
• Obtain required city/state licenses when applicable.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain building equipment and systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC equipment.
• Troubleshoot operation failures and re-establish building services with minimal supervision.
• Supervise maintenance work as needed.
