Job summary

Wisconsin Center District in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a Building Engineer to support the maintenance and repair of heating, air-conditioning, refrigeration, plumbing, and fire protection systems across the Baird Center, UW-M Panther Arena, and Miller High Life Theater. The role reports to the Chief Engineer and requires experience with HVAC controls, building automation systems, and preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of two (2) years of general engineering experience.
• Preferred: one year certificate from trade or technical school; EPA Certification for Refrigerant Recovery.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and repairs of food service mechanical equipment and related devices.
• Assists with installation and maintenance of ice floor and ammonia refrigeration equipment.
• Inspect and repair HVAC systems, pumps, chillers, and related components.
• Operate and maintain building BAS, fire pumps, jockey pumps, and fire suppression systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance and keep related records/logs.
