Job summary

Kroger Great Lakes Distribution Center in Houston, TX is seeking a skilled maintenance professional to provide general maintenance, repair and support for assigned service calls at stores. The role requires driving to stores daily, performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring safety and compliance across all tasks.

Ideal candidates will have 3–5 years of electrical/mechanical maintenance experience, EPA Type 2 certification, and the ability to read drawings and schematics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3–5 years’ proven electrical/mechanical maintenance experience.
• Ability to use manufacturer interface software.
• Must hold and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
• Experience reading engineering drawings, manuals and schematics.
• EPA Type 2 Certification.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive to stores daily and perform preventive maintenance on buildings and equipment.
• Troubleshoot issues and repair equipment.
• Assist in component replacement and calibration.
• Navigate and investigate electronic controls interfaces.
• Maintain organized inventory of parts.
• Operate equipment including powered industrial trucks and lifts safely.
• Complete repair, labor, parts purchasing, and usage documentation timely.
• Ensure compliance with department and company policies.
• Audit store equipment identification lists.
