The position is part of our RTX Enterprise Services team:

The Facilities Engineer - Electrical will support electrical design, electrical distribution, and construction project management.

This role is based in Portsmouth, RI, with support to a site in Marlborough, MA, and occasional projects within the NE region.

Responsibilities

• Estimate projects, perform load sizing, coordination and arc flash studies, develop construction drawings, prepare bid documents, and oversee construction for office renovations, laboratory fit-ups, and equipment installations.
• Manage projects from design through bid, construction, and closeout phases.
• Design building electrical systems, coordinate with other disciplines, prepare diagrams, sketches, and cost estimates, and administer construction.
• Engage with internal customers, develop improvement projects, and coordinate with external resources such as contractors, consultants, and suppliers.

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in building electrical engineering, including high, medium, and low voltage systems, power distribution, grounding, load sizing, and coordination studies.
• 5 years of construction project management experience, including budgeting, scheduling, contractor coordination, and project closeout.
• 5 years of experience in technical writing of specifications, reports, and procedures.
• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or related field, with at least 8 years of relevant experience, or a master's degree with 5 years of experience. Equivalent education/relevant experience may be considered.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of SKM short circuit and arc fault analysis, feeder and transformer sizing, and project management experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, REVIT, Microsoft Office, and project scheduling tools.
• Experience with building electrical systems, BAS, and control systems like Siemens, Johnson Controls, Schneider Electric.
• Excellent communication skills for interfacing with leadership, teams, and external partners.

Salary range: $101,000 - $203,000, dependent on experience and qualifications.
