Job summary

Axcelis Technologies is seeking a Facilities Engineer Co-op for the Winter cycle in Beverly, MA. You will support planning, operation, maintenance, and improvement of building systems, gaining hands-on exposure to mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and utilities in a dynamic semiconductor tech environment.

The role offers practical project work, mentorship, and a direct impact on facility performance. Commute stipend is provided to assist students traveling to the Beverly facility.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be pursuing a BS in Facilities Engineering.
• Familiarity with mechanical and electrical equipment required.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills expected.
• Ability to follow instructions and safety protocols (LOTO, PPE).

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance (PM) and inspections using CMMS; conduct rounds and system monitoring.
• Assist in troubleshooting and repairs of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems with licensed technicians.
• Support building operations, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives.
