Job summary

Avison Young is seeking a dedicated Facilities Technician in Quincy, MA to perform preventative maintenance, inspections and light repairs in a fast-paced, client-facing environment. You will collaborate with the Property Management Team to resolve issues and ensure safety and compliance.

Expect to work with building systems, manage work orders, and coordinate with vendors. The role requires a valid MA driver’s license, tools, and a willingness to be on-call for night and weekend rotations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in commercial building maintenance.
• Massachusetts driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Must have own hand tools.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, work orders and inspections as required.
• Work with Building Management Systems and other monitoring systems.
• Perform light building repairs (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting).
• Monitor vendor performance and coordinate with management.
• Be on call on a rotating schedule for night/weekend coverage.
• Document repairs and maintain accurate records.
• Interact professionally with clients, tenants and contractors.
