Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Building Engineer to monitor, maintain, and repair building systems including plumbing, electrical, HVAC and safety systems. The role covers daytime, evening, and night shifts with potential overtime and on-call duties to support client needs.

You will implement preventive maintenance, optimize energy use, and ensure systems meet design and environmental specifications for our clients. CBRE values safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience.
• Universal CFC certification is preferred.
• Certifications/licenses as may be required by local or state jurisdictions.
• Prior shift management or supervisory experience preferred.
• Meet physical requirements incl. lifting 50 lbs and climbing stairs.
• Ability to work without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs to mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, and control systems.
• Comply with codes, regulations, and safety directives related to building operations.
• Maintain an energy management program and ensure systems operate efficiently.
• Assist with preventive maintenance to meet or exceed equipment life; perform emergency repairs as needed.
• Follow policies for safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials; keep a clean, safe workplace.
• Review inspections of building systems to ensure operation within design specs and environmental targets.
• Apply standard principles to complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
• Coach others and share knowledge across job disciplines within the function.
