Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Facilities Engineer for a state-of-the-art electronics manufacturer in Pineville, NC. You will maintain and improve chemical handling systems, specify equipment, and oversee procurement and installation while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar manufacturing role.
  • Experience with hazardous chemicals, chemical handling systems, wastewater/utilities preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Proven ability to manage projects independently in a plant environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and cross-functional communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve chemical handling systems and infrastructure.
  • Specify equipment and oversee procurement and installation of new equipment.
  • Handle hazardous chemicals and ensure safe storage, use, and disposal per regulations.
  • Diagnose and support plant/process equipment with strong troubleshooting.
  • Own projects/processes within a plant environment and ensure timely completion.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the maintenance and improvement of chemical handling systems and infrastructure.
  • Provide equipment specifications and oversee the procurement and installation of new equipment.
  • Handle hazardous chemicals, ensuring their safe storage, usage, and disposal in compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Utilize strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting capabilities to diagnose and support physical plant/process equipment.
  • Independently manage and own projects/processes within a plant environment, ensuring timely completion and minimal disruption to operations.
  • Work cross-functionally with Operations, Maintenance, EHS, Engineering, contractors/vendors, and other relevant teams to ensure smooth operations and address any issues.
  • Regularly inspect facilities and systems to identify potential problems and implement preventive measures.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role within the Manufacturing industry.
  • Experience working directly with hazardous chemicals, chemical handling systems, wastewater/process utilities, or chemical/process infrastructure is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting capability.
  • Proven experience managing projects/processes independently within a plant environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with various teams.
