The Facilities Engineer provides daily support for all maintenance and plant engineering services related to the facility. This includes the coordination of all capital projects, installation of capital equipment, supervision of the maintenance department, and responsibility for maintaining all production machinery, equipment, physical plant, utilities, and grounds in line with organizational goals, policies, procedures, and regulations.
Essential Functions
- Operate power, environmental, electrical, HVAC, compressed gases, water, sewage, and refrigeration systems to ensure uninterrupted services.
- Recommend, plan, and implement equipment improvements to enhance production efficiency, meet cost goals, and support growth and safety.
- Support operations in addressing equipment and facility issues affecting cost, quality, and delivery.
- Develop and manage preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
- Coordinate planning and contracting of external plant engineering services as needed.
- Oversee capital equipment installations, ensuring safety and quality standards.
- Manage budgets for maintenance and capital projects.
- Ensure timely and compliant completion of capital equipment installations.
- Follow financial procedures for procurement of equipment, supplies, and services.
- Ensure safety compliance with local, state, federal agencies, including 6S activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
- Proven mechanical/electrical troubleshooting and preventative maintenance skills.
- Ability to develop, execute, and deliver results aligned with action plans.
- Capability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing situations.
- Experience in project and capital management, including equipment installation and upgrades.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Effective interpersonal and leadership skills.

Experience & Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field; MS or MBA preferred.
- At least 5 years of facility engineering experience in manufacturing.
- Knowledge of preventive/predictive maintenance systems and methods.
