GE Vernova’s Advanced Research Center in Malta, NY seeks an experienced Facilities Operations and EHS leader to run day-to-day operations, manage budgets, and drive safety-focused project delivery. You will partner with researchers and vendors to maintain reliable infrastructure while advancing energy research initiatives.

The role emphasizes budget stewardship, CMMS implementation, and strong collaboration across PhD-level researchers and technicians in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 25+ years in facility operations
• 10+ years in industrial/research facility environments
• Experience managing facility operations, budgets and projects
• Strong collaboration with researchers and technicians across complex facilities

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day facility operations ensuring systems and equipment are reliable
• Primary contact for facility needs, coordinating with internal teams and external providers
• Plan and monitor preventive maintenance with focus on EHS assets and CMMS rollout
• Manage facilities and EHS budget, forecast needs and identify cost savings
• Lead facility projects from scoping to vendor bid, construction and handoff
• Support space planning and asset capability understanding for research operations
• Ensure adherence to EHS permits, regulations and GE Vernova policies
