Job summary

The W Group is seeking an experienced Maintenance Director to lead all maintenance operations at our New York-based assisted living facility. You will oversee interior and exterior upkeep, supervise a maintenance team, and ensure a safe, compliant, and comfortable environment for residents.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in building maintenance with supervisory experience.
• Experience in assisted living or healthcare settings preferred.
• Working knowledge of building systems and safety codes.
• Strong leadership and scheduling abilities.
• Ability to interact with residents with respect and dignity.

Responsibilities

• Oversee interior/exterior maintenance and upkeep of the facility and grounds.
• Develop and manage a preventive maintenance program for building systems.
• Ensure NYS health, fire and life safety compliance; prepare for inspections.
• Conduct safety tours and promptly address hazards.
• Hire, train, schedule and supervise the maintenance team.
• Manage vendors and contractors, obtain quotes and oversight.
• Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and compliance records.
• Assist with budgeting and purchasing of supplies and equipment.
• Respond to emergencies and be on-call as needed.
