Job summary

SSC Services for Education in Bryan, TX, part of Compass Group USA, seeks a Facilities Director to oversee POM, Environmental Services, and Grounds Maintenance at the Texas A&M RELLIS campus. The Director develops budgets, policies, and strategic plans, partnering with the client to meet safety and quality goals.

The ideal candidate will have a four-year degree, several years in POM or facilities management, construction project experience, and strong financial analysis and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum four year college degree highly preferred.
• 5 years POM management experience preferred.
• Construction project management experience
• Experience with central plant operations preferred
• Utility background preferred
• Experience with large annual budgets
• Have managed a large workforce
• Ability to analyze and interpret financial data
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills
• Extraordinary customer service and quality attitude
• Ability to work under pressure and meet established goals and objectives
• Ability to maintain organization in a fast paced, changing environment

Responsibilities

• Develop and recommend department operating budget and ensure departments operate within budget
• Coordinate POM activities with other departments
• Heavy construction project management oversight
• Communicate with administration and city on growth plans and permits
• Plan, organize, direct, coordinate, and supervise functions and activities of the departments
• Establish and implement policies and procedures for departmental operations
• Encourage and mentor staff creativity and foster innovation
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies
• Demonstrate quality leadership in meeting performance plans/training and development of all staff members
• Inspect facilities constantly to ensure quality control procedures are utilized
• Assist in developing/revising annual budgets
• Maintains direct contact with varying levels of administration including direct client and/or vendors
• Ensure facility’s strategic objectives are defined and achieved
• Ensure company capital assets are secured and maintained in first class working condition
