Job summary

Volunteers of America Northern Rockies seeks a Facilities Director to lead the Facilities Maintenance teams, manage maintenance programs for facilities, grounds, and vehicles, and ensure high organizational standards. The role requires budgeting, safety oversight, and cross-functional collaboration to support program needs.

The director will train staff, approve work orders, monitor maintenance budgets, and coordinate major projects while maintaining compliance with applicable laws and VOANR

Qualifications

• High School Graduate
• Four years of experience in maintenance, construction, or related fields
• Associate degree (or higher) in a related field

Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize, assign, supervise, review, and participate in the work of staff responsible for facility and vehicle maintenance
• Establish schedules and methods for providing facility maintenance services
• Provide leadership to the Facilities Maintenance crew to ensure VOANR facilities and grounds are kept to high standards
• Identify property and resource needs, review needs with appropriate management staff, and allocate resources accordingly
• Work with staff to identify facility needs within programs
• Provide support to the planning and implementation of facility projects
• Oversee the day-to-day operations and completion of facility projects
• Prepare and administer the facility maintenance budget and submit budget recommendations
• Monitor expenditures; prepare cost estimates for equipment with justifications
• Organize and submit work orders to ensure proper tracking of repairs
