Job summary

Cape Heritage Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Sandwich is seeking a Director of Physical Plant (Maintenance) to lead the maintenance department and ensure a safe, well-kept facility. The role is salaried with up to $78,000 depending on experience and weekly pay.

You will plan, organize and direct all maintenance operations, supervise contractors, and maintain regulatory compliance while supporting resident safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 3 years of supervisory maintenance/plant experience.
• Knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators and mechanical/electrical/plumbing systems.
• Ability to read blueprints; familiar with building codes and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Meet the maintenance needs of the facility.
• Identify hazards and maintain a safe environment per policy.
• Replace, repair and purchase items per policy.
• Plan and implement preventive maintenance program.
• Maintain weather protection and exterior grounds in all weather.
• Supervise outside contractors.
• Serve on-call for emergencies and off-hours.
• Perform errands and tasks as required.
• Demonstrate safe techniques per policy.
• Ensure privacy practices to protect residents' health information.
