Job summary

Robertsdale Rehabilitation & HealthCare Center is seeking a Maintenance Director to plan, organize, and direct the maintenance department, ensuring a safe and comfortable facility. You will coordinate services with other departments and supervise outside contractors, while maintaining preventive maintenance programs and compliance with fire and safety codes.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must have previous supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations and blueprint interpretation.
• Knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators and mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
• May be required to drive for company business.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Positive attitude toward the elderly.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and direct the maintenance department operations.
• Coordinate maintenance services with other departments and supervise external contractors.
• Establish and maintain a preventive maintenance program and ensure fire and safety code compliance.
• Maintain facility conditions including carpentry, grounds-keeping, painting, and HVAC systems.
