Zusammenfassung

Columbus City Schools seeks a Director of Custodial Services to lead the district’s custodial operations, ensuring clean, safe facilities across all schools and non-school sites. This role reports to the Senior Executive Director of Business & Operations and oversees budgeting, staffing, and policy development.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in business/management or related field, at least five years in custodial/facilities management, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in business, management or a related field.
• Five (5) years of custodial/services or facilities management experience, including supervising staff.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Aufgaben

• Direct day-to-day activities of the Custodial Services Department and supervise staff.
• Plan, schedule and assign custodians across buildings; manage vacation coverage.
• Oversee purchases of supplies and equipment; review and approve expenses.
• Develop and enforce custodial standards, policies, and procedures.
• Coordinate with other departments and build relationships with district staff.
• Prepare departmental budget and ensure expenditures stay within approvals.
• Monitor compliance with regulatory standards and maintain required documentation.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate actions to protect facilities.
