Job summary

Queen of Peace Catholic Parish is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the care and upkeep of church facilities. In this full-time leadership role you will develop preventive maintenance schedules, supervise staff and contractors, and ensure safety, code compliance, and reliable operations across buildings, grounds, and event spaces.

You will manage budgets, procure supplies, maintain records, and collaborate with parish teams and volunteers to support worship and outreach.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in facilities maintenance, property management, or related field.
• Strong leadership and supervisory abilities.
• Knowledge of building systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC) and groundskeeping preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Good communication and collaboration with staff and parishioners.
• General computer skills (email, word processing, basic spreadsheet).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement maintenance schedules for parish facilities, including buildings, grounds, and equipment.
• Supervise and coordinate maintenance staff and contractors to ensure timely and quality work.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify repair needs, safety hazards, and preventative maintenance requirements.
• Manage maintenance budgets, procurement of supplies, and vendor relationships.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and parish policies.
• Oversee setup and breakdown of event spaces and facilities as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
