Job summary

Queen of Peace Catholic Parish is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the care and upkeep of church facilities. In this full-time leadership role you will develop preventive maintenance schedules, supervise staff and contractors, and ensure safety, code compliance, and reliable operations across buildings, grounds, and event spaces.

You will manage budgets, procure supplies, maintain records, and collaborate with parish teams and volunteers to support worship and outreach.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in facilities maintenance, property management, or related field.
• Strong leadership and supervisory abilities.
• Knowledge of building systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC) and groundskeeping preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Good communication and collaboration with staff and parishioners.
• General computer skills (email, word processing, basic spreadsheet).

Responsibilities

Maintenance Supervisor

Join our dedicated team at a prominent Catholic parish as the Director of Maintenance, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of our church facilities. This full-time leadership position offers an opportunity to contribute to a community-centered environment while overseeing the maintenance operations that support our spiritual and community activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement maintenance schedules for all parish facilities, including buildings, grounds, and equipment
• Supervise and coordinate maintenance staff and contractors to ensure timely and quality work

Requirements

• Must be a practicing Catholic in good standing with the church, and eager to carry out the mission of the church
• Valid driver’s license and the ability to operate maintenance equipment as required
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
• Physical capability commensurate with maintenance duties
