Job summary

Baxter seeks an Associate Director of Facilities to lead operations across Deerfield, IL, Round Lake, IL, and Batesville, IN campuses. You will drive facilities strategies, manage budgets, oversee capital projects, and lead vendors to ensure safe, compliant, and cost-efficient operations.

You will collaborate with site leaders to align infrastructure investments with business priorities, develop high-performing teams, and uphold regulatory standards while delivering an exceptional workplace

Qualifications

• 8+ years of facilities management experience across corporate, manufacturing, or laboratory environments.
• Experience managing significant operating and capital budgets.
• Strong vendor management, financial, and project management skills.
• Proven ability to lead teams and influence senior stakeholders.
• Experience supporting large corporate headquarters, R&D and/or laboratory facilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead facilities operations, maintenance, and workplace services across all campuses.
• Develop and execute facilities strategies that support current and future business needs.
• Ensure the reliability, safety, compliance, and operational excellence of campus infrastructure.
• Manage operating and capital budgets while overseeing cost management activities.
• Oversee capital planning and project execution across multiple campuses.
• Lead relationships with facilities vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure contract compliance and achievement of performance expectations.
• Partner with site and business leaders to support operational priorities, workplace initiatives, campus planning, and infrastructure investments.
• Lead and develop facilities staff and third-party service teams.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, environmental, and safety requirements.
• Support business continuity, emergency response, and risk mitigation efforts.
